Adults who have no Spanish speaking skills, as well as those with beginner, intermediate or advanced knowledge are invited to enroll in a four-week session of Spanish lessons.
Classes will be held Fridays, March 7-28, at Greene County Community Center. Instructor will be Sara Huddleston, director of the Multicultural Family Resource Center. There is a charge for the class.
According to research by BBC and Harvard University, learning a new language has potential benefits such as boosting brain power slowing brain aging, perhaps delaying dementia, and increasing empathy, attention, and cultural interaction.
The classes will include vocabulary, grammar and conversation. The beginning class will cover basic vocabulary and verbs. The intermediate class will cover conjugations and tenses of verbs.
